As part of the strategy that seems tailored to appeal to business customers, Samsung announced the Smart Wireless Security Access Point that helps businesses identify unauthorized intrusion in the wireless network.
The device supports 802.11ac and is equipped with wireless intrusion prevention solution (WIPS) sensor that can detect unauthorized connections to the network.
According to Samsung, any unauthorized intrusions can be detected within 10 seconds with the device trying to block it within 30 seconds. Furthermore, businesses can save up to 50% in upgrading infrastructure as the same security features can be implemented at a lower cost.
The Smart Wireless Security AP will be used at ITU Plenipotentiary Conference that will be held in October in Busan, Korea. Then, we may see it hitting Sammy’s business offering by the end of the year. And then, eventually see it being offered to the customers/businesses in the West in early 2015…
