Aside from the Xperia Z3 smartphone, Sony is apparently also working on the Xperia Tablet Z3 which too may be unveiled by the end of 2014, perhaps at the upcoming IFA conference in Berlin, Germany.
We don’t have any rock-solid evidence yet, except for the fact that a Sony-made device marked as SGP621 has been caught at Indonesian Postel site. According to XperiaBlog, such marking indicates this is a tablet with LTE connectivity on board.
Add the fact that the original Tablet Z was marked as SGP321, its successor (Tablet Z2) as SGP521, and you get the point – the SGP621 could be the next-gen Xperia Tablet.
If we can take anything we’ve learned from the previous Xperia Z3 leaks, the Xperia Tablet Z3 will also be an evolutionary — rather than revolutionary — update, packing similar hardware in a slimmer and lighter body.
Or… this could be Sony’s first mini Android tablet, one that would sport a 7- or 8-inch screen. It’s too early to tell, but we are eager to hear your thoughts. What do you think Sony’s up to next?
