We’ve learned to associate dual front speakers with high-end, expensive smartphones from the HTC One series. India-based Lava is here to prove us wrong, having recently unveiled a $63 smartphone, Lava Iris 360 Music, with the same kind of speaker setup.
Now, we’re sure these speakers aren’t as powerful as those HTC includes with its top phones. Nevertheless, we would guess they deliver better sound than other devices costing this much little. Heck, we’re sure many phones with a price tag of $200 can’t produce sound as clear and loud as Lava Iris 360 Music can.
Said device has been launched in India and, as you would expect, it’s not exactly a powerhouse under the hood. The specs sheet includes a 1GHz dual-core chip, 3.5-inch HVGA (320 x 480 pixels) screen, just 512MB of RAM, 4GB of expandable storage and a 1,400 mAh battery. There’s also a 3-megapixel rear camera which is coupled with a VGA front shooter; Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is running the show.
Chances are the Lava Iris 360 Music won’t be available outside of India; in its own backyard, the company is offering it in few different colors, including Black, Grey and White.
