Next year, we may see LG’s flagship phone rocking rear camera with 20.7-megapixel sensor and improved Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
The Korean company’s LG Innotek division used the 2014 Korea Electronics Show (KES) to officially unveil such camera module, and yes – we expect it to be included in the upcoming LG G4.
Aside from higher megapixel count, the new module also has an increased OIS correction angle of 0.7. In comparison, the LG G3’s camera has a OIS correction angle of 0.5. This improvement allows for more compensation for unwanted movements while capturing pictures or recording videos.
Looking into the future, it’s safe to assume that this camera technology won’t stop with LG G4. Next year, Koreans will also launch the next G Pro phablet as well as latest devices in the Vu and G Flex series, all of which may end-up rocking a fancy camera like this. We’ll see how that goes…
