Two Chinese companies are preparing to announce new phones later this week; Oppo and Huawei will unveil their latest products on October 29th.
Oppo will use the opportunity to show us the N3, successor to its N1 swivel-camera phablet. The new model will have a motorized rotating camera and beefed-up specs, including a 5.5-inch screen, 16-megapixel camera sensor, 4G LTE, lithium allow body and other high-end specs.
On the other hand, the Huawei Honor 4X is a completely different device. Rather than targeting users in the higher end of the market, Huawei is going for folks looking for a mid-range smartphone. In that sense, this could easily emerge as one of the best-selling phones Huawei has ever made. Rumored specs include a 64-bit processor (Huawei’s own?), 5.5-inch 720p HD screen, 2GB of RAM, dual-SIM support and 4G LTE connectivity support. Sure, we would like to see more pixels on such a big display, but again – this should be an affordable device, one that competes with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note.
All other details, including availability information, should be revealed on Wednesday…
