iOS 8.1.1 is rolling out as we speak. Apple released the update today, which brings a ton of performance improvements mostly pertaining to older iOS devices such as the iPhone 4S and iPad 2. iOS 8 performance on older iDevices has been less than lackluster, and five months after its announcement Apple is making life for owners of older devices a little bit cheerier.
Unlike last month’s iOS 8.0.1 update, there have been no reported problems with iOS 8.1.1. Suffice to say not many people have received the update yet, so we’ll see if any huge problems arise from the new update.
The update is now live OTA or can be downloaded using iTunes.
