The other day, a friend asked me how to free-up memory on his (now old) iPhone 5. I thought holding down the Home button will do the work, but no – Apple has its own way of doing things. So I had to search the Internet to find the solution. And here it is – the solution that will work on both iPhones and iPads.
- From the home screen, press the Home button twice to launch the app switcher. Here, you’ll see the list of recently active applications.
- Now swipe each of the apps upwards to close them.
- Press the home screen again.
You’re done – background applications are now closed. It’s bit different than on Android, but easy nevertheless. 😉
