Samsung Pixon 12 M8910

It’s official. Samsung will be the first handset maker to offer the 12 megapixel camera phone. Sony Ericsson’s Idou/Satio may be the first such device to be announced, but the Korean company will have its baby on the market later this month.

Specs wise, we’re talking about the upgraded version of the original Pixon device. As you can guess for yourself, the 8 megapixel sensor is dumped for the better one which supports 12 megapixels, and we’re also presuming hardware has been improved as well. Moreover, there’s xenon and power LED flash, 28mm wide angle lens, touch-focus, “Smart Auto,” and the camera can now also record 720×480 pixels video at 30 fps.

Rest of the specs include WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity support, 3.1-inch AMOLED screen, HSPA, GPS, FM radio, photo sharing app and so on.

The Samsung Pixon 12 M8910 will start selling in Europe starting the end of June across Europe, while rest of the world will get it in August. Great work Samsung!
