Jitterbug is out with the updated version of their simple to use phone. With the so called Jitterbug J, the company will try to appeal to a wider audience, not just old folks. I’m not sure what kind of audience dig J’s “feature set,” which includes text messaging, Bluetooth support, and improved (when compared to the original device) user interface. Moreover, I guess that bug which made Samsung recall the original Jitterbug is fixed in the updated version.
As for the pricing, the J costs $147 sans any contracts signed. That’s kinda steep if you ask me, considering you could get just a little bit more powerful device unlocked from any major handset manufacturer.
Anyway, if you’re looking for something really basic that is as simple to use as your wireless phone at home, look no further – Jitterbug J is the handset for you. 😉
