We’re just a few hours from the big announcement of the next iPhone or iPhones and I know many of you out there are going to buy it, no matter how big or small of an improvement it is over the previous models. Well, if you’re rocking an iPhone 4, your best bet is to have already sold it but let’s take a look at what you can get right this minute.
One of my favorite gadget-selling sites is Gazelle and a 32 GB model on Verizon will get you $238 at this moment. The same model on AT&T will net you $284 and I’m guessing you get more because it’s much easier for AT&T users to just pop a SIM in it, even if its a microSIM.
NextWorth was guaranteeing up to $250 for an iPhone 4 until the day before the new announcement but you can still get that full amount if you have an AT&T 32 GB model in good condition. The Verizon versions won’t get you as much, as a white 32 GB model is only netting about $172 at the time of this posting.
Over on old favorites like Craigslist, I’m seeing iPhone 4 devices listed for as much as $400 in “mint condition” – yeah, good luck with that one. The general range seems to be between $200 and $400 but those are the asking prices, so your mileage may vary.
Apple iPhone 4 sellers willing to put up with a few hassles may want to go to eBay, as recent listings show a potentially high price. The Verizon version is being listed for a buy-it-now price of $355 and the AT&T model is going for more. If you happen to have an unlocked version or want to unlock your AT&T device, that could probably be your best bet.
We’ll update this post after the official announcement and see how much an iPhone 4 is going for now that next year’s model is available.
