Samsung unveiled a new cloud printing solution for small and medium-sized businesses at CeBIT in Hannover, Germany. The Samsung Cloud Print is made to sing along Sammy’s new NFC-enabled printers that were also announced at the show — Samsung Xpress C1860 and Xpress M2885 — and the Cloud Print app, which will be available from the Google Play Store and Samsung Apps in June 2014. iOS version will follow afterwards, hitting the Apple AppStore at some point in the second half of the year.
As we would expect, Samsung’s new cloud printing service is compatible with KNOX, making sure your documents are hard (if not impossible) to intercept before being printed out. However, even without KNOX, the data sent to printers will still be encrypted.
Samsung Cloud Print will first be available in South Korea followed by the United States and Europe later in the year.
