Siri on Apple TV? It’s possible, and could be coming our way soon, according to a report from 9to5Mac. Pierre Blazquez dug into the iOS 7.1 code and found references to Siri’s arrival on Apple TV. The code appears in both iOS 7.1 and 7.1.1’s files.
It’s been a while since Apple has updated the Apple TV, and references to a new Apple TV device have been found in iOS 7 code already. Aside from the clues hidden in the code, it just makes sense for Apple to update its TV product. With Amazon’s Fire TV selling like hotcakes, Apple has to step up the marketing of the Cupertino company’s set-top box unless it wants to get left in the dust. Apple is slowly expanding the availability of channels for the Apple TV, but is moving at a slow clip.
I’ve just found a new device family reference in Siri’s resources in iOS 7.1… New #AppleTV or #iWatch ? pic.twitter.com/Ak1PVuBmqc

We’ll have to wait and see what Apple has in store for us in the coming months.
