In Nokia
There really is no accounting for taste, or a complete lack thereof, in this case. We’ve seen the stylish Nokia (NYSE: NOK) 8800 desecrated covered in diamonds and covered in gold in the past, but this latest uber-lux Nokia 8800 takes the cake with its 1160 tiny diamonds set on a Platinum-coated exterior. And, because high-end handsets are all about the details, the Nokia “Royal Edition,” as it’s called, sports 8 handmade Platinum screws holding the handset together. It all sounds luxurious and exclusive on paper, but we have a feeling that high marks on paper won’t translate into real world
The Nokia Royal Edition is the brainchild of Goldstriker’s Stuart and Katherine Hughes, and will only be made in a limited run of 50 handsets. The limited production run should make this expectedly expensive handset even more exclusive. Pricing isn’t mentioned, but there’s no doubt that if you have to ask how much it cost, you most definitely can’t afford it.

Anyone interested in announcing to the world their ridiculously-sized pocket book and apparent lack of taste can hop a flight to Paris on January 31 and pick up a Nokia 8800 Royal Edition from the Colette boutique. For you ballers on a budget, online orders can be placed through Stuart and Katherine Hughes’ website.

Goldstriker announced a new member of its luxury family. It’s the beautiful Nokia (NYSE: NOK) 8800 Princess Edition which will go on sale in the Colette store in Paris in January 2009.
There is, however, some reasoning beyond the price. The custom-made Nokia 8800 will boast 8.2 carats of diamonds on the front and rear, solid platinum finish and will be housed in a handmade, leather-lined, granite or marble box.
Specs wise, the Princess Edition is identical to the original 8800, but I guess tech features are not what potential buyers of this piece of jewelry are looking at, anyway.
Finally, you may want to know about the price, you ask (or not)? It’s 12,000 GBP, which may sound kinda steep, but the end result will make you bling no matter where you happen to be.

It’s not just Goldstriker which has prepared the iPhone 3G Diamond edition. Now we have Swiss luxury designer and jeweler Knalihs Athem announcing its own diamond encrusted Apple iPhone 3G. As you can guess, such a device is not for everyone. The super-pricey handset is encrusted with more than 475 finest quality brilliant cut diamonds that weigh 3.75 carats in total. Only 50 of these will be created worldwide and each one of them is accompanied by appropriate and official diamond grading report from a gemological lab.
The first 10 Athem’s diamond encrusted Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) iPhone 3Gs will be sold for $10,000, only (only?), and the price will be revised sharply upwards.
If you’re going to pay that money, it’s good to know each one of the iPhone 3Gs they sell is individually crafted and created with exceptional precision and “skilled swiss craftsmanship using materials of the highest quality.”

In Devices, Nokia

Don’t know about you but I love the Nokia (NYSE: NOK) E71. As a matter of fact I think it’s the best Symbian S60 device. That QWERTY keyboard is ultra-useful and if you don’t need a 5 megapixel camera on your mobile phone, the E71 is the way to go. Otherwise, if you need a better camera and still want to be in the realm of Nokia, you know where to go – the N82 or N95 8GB.
Anyway, I’ve just spotted that Goldstriker is offering the Nokia E71 24ct Gold Edition. Not many things are known at this stage, but the price is known. For 549.95 GBP (about $1100), you’ll have the E71 shining as it never has. Here’s the link to Goldstriker’s website where you can grab the device.
Sadly, not much information is provided at the page. Guess they figured buyers of the E71 know what they want…

Wow, Goldstriker is fast. After releasing all those luxury iPhone versions, they’re out with the iPhone 3G Diamond edition. The device comes in white gold and with diamonds, and costs 5,995 GBP. That’s like $12,000! Yeah, it’s expensive but I’m sure they’ll sell out pretty quickly…
UK’s Stuart Hughes designed this beauty and the process was overseen by the close attention of the top Swiss jeweler, Knalih Athen.

In Devices, LG

I guess they had it enough with the iPhone. It’s time to expand their feature phone collection with some LG models.
Two phones were selected — LG KF600 and the newly launched KF750 Secret — and adorned with 24 carat gold. The end result is stunning and so is the price. Instead of getting these LG phones free on a contract, you’ll end up paying 329.95 GBP (about $660) per phone for all the gold that surround their bodies. But, you’ll certainly shine where ever you are.
Two more images follow after the jump.

Goldstriker has done it again. Just two days ago we posted about their gorgeous Solar Star edition iPhone and now they’re presenting us with yet another iPhone flavor. This time it’s the Black Beauty edition, which like many other of their products relies on gold to deliver the luxurious details, such as front bezel and rear logo which have been struck with 24-carat gold. The rest of the phone is black, or that’s actually “Jaguar midnight black metallic.” Yap, this one’s created to match Jaguar cars and Stuart Hughes, who customized the device for himself, made it so it goes well (perfect) with his Jag. He even said: “I quite liked the 1st black one we did to match the Bentley colour range but hell no, I can’t afford a Bentley so this one will do me just right for now.”
The iPhone Black Beauty starts selling today for 749.95 GBP (about $1500) on Goldstriker’s website.

Goldstriker strikes again and this time they bring us a different kind of iPhone. On a first glance, it looks like a Colorware’s work, but when you look better at it — this is completely different beast. The so called iPhone Solar Star Edition is coated in Balloon White paint that is found on a, hmm, Lamborghini Gallardo, which makes the device looks kinda simple. However, the 24-carat gold is there to emphasize this isn’t yet another “Average Joe’s” iPhone. It costs 749.95 GBP (about $1500) and that money buys you the 16GB version running the unlocked firmware v1.1.4.
Again, it’s not for everyone — myself included — but this is certainly one of the best looking iPhones in a “luxury sub-2K” category, if that category actually exists.

Goldstriker keeps pushing various luxury versions of Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s handset. Lately we’ve spotted the gorgeous red grain leather version, made by their chief designer Stuart Hughes. Only 250 of these will be made, so it’s wise to take your place on time. The red grain iPhones will start selling from the end of this months for $1,800. Not cheap, and not for everyone.
Finally, if you don’t dig the red leather, Goldstriker said they’ll also release the device in other colors like ivory, black and more…

The folks behind GoldStriker are “striking” again. This time they’ve teamed-up with German designer Sascha Hildebrandt to pump-up the good ol’ BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Pearl with “gleaming platinum accents and luscious red leather.” The end result is the BlackBerry Pearl Platinum & Nightfire edition which: a) looks very, very, very cool; b) costs a fortune – $1,600; c) starts selling on February 14th.
Still don’t know what to get your better half for the Valentine’s Day? Yeah, the pink Pearl is also a viable option.
