Free Lightsaber App for the BlackBerry Storm

blackberrystormsaberHaven’t you always wished for an app that would let you turn your BlackBerry Storm into a lightsaber!? Of course you have… and now you can, thanks to member dmglakewood over at CrackBerry. Apparently there were lots of requests for this, and he delivered. The app is still a little buggy/glitchy, but here’s how the app works:

Open the app, click the screen to turn the lightsaber on. You can swipe the screen left and right for different colors. When you have a color of your choice just swing the phone left and right. Based on how hard you swing it different sounds will play. Click the screen again to turn it off.

I have to admit, I do have the ‘Lightsaber’ app on my iPhone 3G. I get a kick out of it from time to time, but that’s only because I’m a geek. Others may not find it so amusing.

Whatever the case, if you grew up with Star Wars, and have a BlackBerry Storm in-tow, you may want to give this fun little app a look. Head on over to the Storm Lightsaber App Thread on CB for more details. Good times!
