Monal is a chat client with multi tasking. It may be used to chat with people on Gtalk, Facebook chat, webex connect or any other XMPP/Jabber server.
It is designed for both iPhone and iPad and supports the option to use encrypted chat with SSL/TLS and is capable of connecting to XMPP servers that require VPN. Unlike most other free and paid programs, Monal does not transmit your conversations and login info to a 3rd party server and does not feature any ads or tracking software.
