Konami has currently marked down the prices of all of their titles on the App Store until November, 30th 2009. ALL Konami titles are listed at $.99, and if you’ve been curious about any of their titles, now is the time to open up your virtual wallets and get to downloading. The titles that Konami currently have up on the App Store are:
It should be noted that all of these prices are only effective for only the US App Store, so for those of you not able to access the US App Store, I submit this commercial of Crazy Eddie to hopefully cheer you up on not being able to take advantage of this current price drop.
If you’re a fan of shooing Nazis and Zombies, then this game might be what you’ve been waiting for. Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies brings the consoles’ ever popular “Night of the Undead” map pack, where you and your teammates work together to defend a point from wave after wave of Nazi Zombies, and brings it to the iPhone.
Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies features 2-player co-op over bluetooth, as well as 4-player co-op over Wi-Fi. Players can also create public or private online matches, so fight alongside strangers or your your best buds to fight off the zombie invasion. Controls are all on-screen and offer auto-targeting of the shooting reticule, but players can also zoom in and shoot from a more accurate perspective.
Activision also notes that Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies will feature new downloadable content in the future which will keep you Nazi Zombie murdering SOBs coming back for more! Jawohl!
In today’s world, it seems a lot of smartphone users tend to rely on their own entertainment to get through air travel. Movies, TV shows, even games can keep us busy for a good chunk of our flight. Nippon Airways recently announced they will be making some changes to their New York City to Tokyo flights, one of which is the addition of allowing passengers to connect their iPhone / iPod to their individual LCD screen to display videos and pictures. Best of all, the iPhone / iPod connectors also charge your device while it’s being used.
You would think this kind of service would only be available to first-class fliers, but thankfully, Nippon Airways is offering the service to all of their passengers. I definitely see the benefit for offering this service since I for one love to watch some TV shows or movies that I’ve got ready for travel, but having the video right in front of you instead of your lap can make the experience that much better. All I ask is that no one bugs me for a spare earbud to watch an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm along with me. I likes to hear my Larry David with both ears, thank you very much.
Now… if I could only find a reason to fly to Japan…
We previously mentioned Gameloft’s Asphalt series when Asphalt 4 made its way to the N-Gage as well as on Verizon’s V-Cast service. Gameloft teased us at this year’s WWDC ‘09 with news they were bringing Asphalt 5 to the iPhone App Store later this year. Gameloft finally delievered as Asphalt 5 is now available for purchase on the iPhone App Store.
Asphalt 5 features over 30 cars from such notable manufactures as Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Audi that are fully customizable and more than 12 different locations you can race in. There are also 8 different racing events to take part in such as Cop Chase, Drift Contest, and Time Attack. When you think you’ve mastered Asphalt 5, take on some of your friends via Bluetooth or players from around the world via Wi-Fi connection.
To celebrate Asphalt 5’s release, Gameloft was gracious enough to send us THREE $10 Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) iTunes gift cards so you can purchase Asphalt 5 and have some left over to purchase some of the other titles from Gameloft (might I recommend Earthworm Jim or Dungeon Hunter?) Want to win one of the three $10 iTunes gift cards? Here’s how to enter:

Angry Mob Games‘ upcoming top-down, twin-sticks shooter Guerrilla Bob is one badass looking game. The main character wears a beret, has tons of weapons, and is named ‘Bob’. That right there is the recipe for badass, folks.
Guerrilla Bob will take players across a number of locations like canyons, deserts, and deserted towns. Along the way, he’ll most likely meet some opposition as well as “epic boss battles”. The game will also include multiple levels of difficulty, scoring system, and online leaderboards so you can compare with your friends who the best Bob is!
Earlier this month, EA Mobile mentioned NBA Live was making its way to the iPhone platform later this month. As we all know, time does fly, and thus explains NBA Live finally releasing on the App Store.
NBA Live is a great effort by EA to bring its popular basketball game franchise to the iPhone. Players are controlled by touching the left side of the screen, which pops up a virtual control stick onto the screen. You then tilt your finger in the direction you want your player to move to. If you’re in possession of the ball, you can either shoot or pass. Depending on your momentum and how well you’re covered by a defending player, you can even perform a variety of dunks with a flick of your thumb. While on defense, you can steal or attempt to block a shot by jumping.
NBA Live features all 30 NBA teams, players, and accurate stats. Multiple game modes allow players to either play a quick game in Exhibition Mode, or dedicate themselves to a full season of play in Season Mode. Player models and animations are pretty detailed as well, considering the platform its running on. All in all, NBA Live is a title basketball loving iPhone owners should absolutely consider owning.
Are you a fan of games from the 90s that star earthworms that battle evil while wearing a robotic suit? Do you also enjoy playing games on your iPhone for countless hours until your battery is completely bone dry? If you answered yes to both of these questions, then this post is for you!
Gameloft announced today the release of the iPhone / iPod Touch version of Earthworm Jim. The game originally was released in 1994 for the Super Nintendo & SEGA Genesis consoles, and now you can relive the 16-bit, side-scrolling glory days through your iPhone / iPod Touch. Earthworm Jim stars Jim, who was once an ordinary earthworm until a suit dropped from outer space onto Jim, which then mutated him into a hero.
Run, gun, swing from hooks with your head, launch cows, bungee jump, rocket through speed levels and more!
Face 12 types of enemies and 9 bosses.
4 different styles of gameplay: Side-scrolling run & gun, space racing, bungee jumping and underwater levels
10 original environments divided into 16 levels
4 levels of difficulty, including the challenging mode of the original game
The re-mastered cult soundtrack
iPod library access to play your favorite tracks while playing the game.
As a special treat, Gameloft has supplied us with a US iTunes code to download Earthwork Jim for the iPhone / iPod Touch for free! Since I’m in a good mood, I’ll be giving it away to a lucky reader. You’ve got two ways of entering:

Now that the dust has settled from the initial announcement that Rock Band is headed to the iPhone, it’s time for EA Mobile to keep this hype train going. What better way than to offer a teaser trailer.
As is customary with almost all “teaser trailers”, you’ll see very little gameplay footage here. For the most part, you’ll be watching a video of four people who are stuck in a boardroom fantasizing about performing in front of an audience in some club. I’m curious as to what kind of office allows a woman to dress the way she does in the video and for a black gentleman to be sitting in on a meeting while holding drumsticks.
If you really want to get a good idea of how Rock Band iPhone plays, check back after the break for our hands-on demo video.
Don’t let the name fool you. Dungeon Hunter has you hunting more than just dungeons. In fact, you’re not hunting dungeons at all, instead you’ll be hunting various enemies that just happened to be in a dungeon. I know, I know, that idea just probably blew your mind, but trust me when I say it’s for the best.
Dungeon Hunter is Gameloft’s attempt at the hack-n-slash RPG genre that has gone nearly untouched in the iPhone gaming market. The question is: Does the hack-n-slash RPG genre work on the iPhone platform and how well did Gameloft’s Dungeon Hunter?
It looks like EA Mobile has been hard at work because they made another upcoming release announcement today. Not one, but THREE titles are currently in the works: NBA Live, Need for Speed SHIFT, and Surviving High School are all headed to the iPhone App Store. All three titles are expected to be released Fall 2009, so keep your eyes on the App Store for these big releases!
If you’d like to know more info as to what these games will offer on the iPhone, make sure to check back after the break where you’ll be able to find the info
