Apple released a statement confirming its commitment to customer privacy in light of accusations that it shared data with the government’s alleged snooping program PRISM. Apple said in its statement, included below, that it doesn’t give the government back door access to its servers and confirmed that all requests for customer content must have a court order. Instagram, the haven for photo-sharers with a penchant for filters, may go head-to-head with video-sharing Vine soon. Microsoft today announced the availability of Office Mobile for iPhone. The iPhone App is available free of charge today to Office 365 users in the US. It’ll launch internationally in the next few days. Unfortunately, the release is iPhone-only; there is no iPad version. Office for iPhone lets you access, view and edit your cloud Office documents from your iPhone. Nokia is sending out invitations to a press event in New York City on July 11th. The invite features a magnifying glass with the tagline “Zoom. Reinvented.” Inside the magnifying glass is the offer to “see more from Nokia” at the event. A new Samsung commercial showcases the Galaxy S4 Zoom and highlights some of the camera-focused features. Follow the whimsical actress as she snaps photos with her Zoom and shares them with her friends. As you recall, the S4 Zoom is basically a Galaxy S4 with a point-sand-shoot style camera module tacked on the back.
