Contact UsWe’ve been hearing about Nokia and Verizon working on a special release of the Lumia 920 for quite some time. Now the latest nugget of news on this mysterious phone comes from Bloomberg, as the publication is reporting that Nokia and Verizon have come to terms in bringing the Finnish company’s forthcoming flagship, the Lumia 928. The new device is expected to launch sometime next month. Bloomberg’s sources go even further, saying that the Lumia device that will launch on Verizon will have a metal body, a 4.5-inch touchscreen, an … Read more
Remember all that talk about how Samsung’s devices are “too plastic-y”? If a new rumor proves to be true, Sammy’s Galaxy Note III will solidify the company’s love for plastic. New rumors are suggesting that the Samsung Galaxy Note III will be the first device with a plastic OLED display. We still don’t know what the screen’s resolution will be, and whether the plastic displays will be making their way into future Samsung devices. Switching to plastic displays has a few benefits, most notably durability, as plastic scratches less than … Read more
Bad news for consumers hoping to get Glass in the near future, Google Chairman Eric Schmidt hinted at a release timeline in an interview today, and it’s not looking good. On the BBC Radio’s “World at One“, Schmidt gave a long interview where he touched on several topics including Google’s driverless cars, privacy, and his new book. The interview starts at 27:45 and he talks Glass at 32:30. Interviewer Martha Kearney asks, “How soon is [Google Glass] likely to come onto the market?” Schmidt’s response: “There will be thousands of [Google Glass] … Read more

Nokia apparently has something cooking that it considers tease-worthy. By the looks of the image above, it seems to be some sort of QWERTY phone possibly with that BlackBerry-esque candy bar form factor. The image comes from a short blog post from Nokia. “On Wednesday morning at 7am GMT we will be announcing something new, followed by a Q&A session with Neil Broadley from our Mobile Phones team and a special guest,” wrote Ian Delaney on the Conversations by Nokia blog. There’s a few takeaways from this. Since the announcement comes from … Read more
Don’t hold your breath for new devices unveiled during next month’s Google I/O. According to SidhTech’s report, we ain’t gonna see neither the Nexus 5 nor Motorola X phone announced at that time. Rather, the search giant will show us the updated version of the Nexus 4, featuring 32GB of internal storage and LTE connectivity support. I would also guess a slightly beefed-up version of the Nexus 7 will be on display, featuring Qualcomm’s rather than NVidia’s processor inside. I’m just hoping that both of these devices will sports Qualcomm’s … Read more
The soon-to-be-launched Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will be available in few different variants, each catered towards the different segment of the market. Here are the three versions we’ve heard about: Samsung GT-i9190 – the regular 3G model that will be most widely available. Samsung GT-i9195 – LTE-enabled version that will only be sold in markets with live 4G network. Samsung GT-i9192 – a dual-SIM version that is likely heading to India and other emerging markets (though some European countries may get it as well). Specs wise, it is said that … Read more
Yesterday we’ve told you that the LG Optimus G2 will be released at some point in the third quarter of the year. Adding to the rumor mill, we’re now hearing that the upcoming device may come with a super-slim body, one that made LG’s engineers move the power and volume buttons from sides to the back of the phone. Yeah, we do realize how crazy that sounds but that’s what we’ve heard. In that sense, we’re not sure whether we should applaud LG for taking the novel approach or bash … Read more
What we have here is apparently the first photo of Apple’s upcoming budget iPhone. As you can see for yourself, this polycarbonate unit looks a lot like the iPhone 3G and 3GS though it has a flat back instead of the curved one, and a LED-based flash next to the camera. Moreover, this model has the old volume rocker split into two, while the phone’s body is slightly taller, wider and thicker than the iPhone 4 and 4S. Final and perhaps the most intriguing detail – this iPhone may be … Read more
A new, still unannounced ZTE smartphone marked as N988 has been caught in China while getting approval from the country’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center MIIT, making it ready to be sold in the world’s biggest smartphone market. There are two things that make this device interesting: it comes with huge 5.7-inch screen and quad-core processor. The latter is especially intriguing as that processor could be the NVIDIA Tegra 4 as we know that ZTE will be one of the first vendors to launch a Tegra 4-powered device. On the other … Read more
Microsoft has been rumored to be developing some smaller Windows 8 tablets, possibly within the Surface line, for some time. Today, however, is the first time anyone from Microsoft has spoken out about the possibility. During Microsoft’s Q3 earnings call, the company’s CFO Peter Klein said such tablets are in the works. Specifically, Klein revealed Microsoft is collaborating with OEMs to work on “a new suite of small touch devices powered by Windows.” According to him they will be “will be available in the coming months” at “competitive price points.” … Read more
