Verizon Galaxy S4 (Finally) Coming Out on May 23rd

Verizon announced today that the Galaxy S4 will be available on May 23rd, a full week before the previous release date of May 30 but still nearly a month later than other carriers. Verizon customers (myself included) have gotten used to waiting a little longer for the new, hot phones and this time is no exception. Staples today has announced details regarding the availability of the Samsung Galaxy S4 in its retail stores. The retailer will offer the Galaxy S4 on a variety of carriers, including AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile. AOL and Verizon Wireless announced a content distribution deal that’ll bring some of AOL’s homepage to your Verizon Wireless smartphone and tablet. Starting this summer, AOL confirmed it will be the exclusive provider for VZW’s mobile web portal. This is the page that your phone defaults to when you launch the web browser. Verizon is getting into the cloud storage game by releasing its Verizon Cloud app, which provides users a convenient way to back up and store their digital life. The app allows Verizon customers to choose files to be uploaded into the cloud, such as text messages, images, videos, music and documents that can be accessed whenever the user has a data connection. NYC Begins Free Wi-Fi, Cellular Service Rollout in Subway Stations

The New York Metropolitan Transit Authority is rolling out Wi-Fi and cellular service to 30 stations across the city, including stations in mid-town Manhattan, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Lincoln Center and Columbus Circle. The infrastructure was rolled out by Transit Wireless, which has a reseller agreement with Boingo Wireless, who provides the Wi-Fi connectivity.
