Instead, you&#8217;ll need to download the &#8220;<a href="http://www.alltelwireless.com/SII-Jelly-Bean" target="_blank">Simple Upgrade Tool</a>&#8221; from Samsung and follow its on-screen instructions to cram Android 4.1 to your smartphone.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, this is a Windows-only application so Mac users will have to do some BootCamp magic to update their Galaxy S II. Or &#8212; if they don&#8217;t like how that sounds &#8212; find some unofficial way to achieve the same thing. We prefer getting our software directly from manufacturers but you don&#8217;t have to follow our advice, quite the contrary&#8230;</p>
