Nokia has scored another partner to support its OVI offering – Telecom Italia (NYSE: TI). Under the agreement, Nokia (NYSE: NOK) will customize its handsets — most notably Nokia N81, N95 8GB and we guess N82 in the near future — to provide easy access to TIM services. In addition, the Finish giant also said that the collaboration will include areas such as “technology and billing co-operation.” Somehow, we see the latter being used for seamless music buying process for the TIM subscribers… Full release follows after the jump.

Orange and TIM will be adding LG’s low-end 3G handset – LG KU380 soon. The device should be sold quite cheaply and is very small, measuring 96×45×17.9 mm and weighing 91 grams. Apart from the built-in 3G (UMTS) radio, the LG KU380 also sports triband GSM radio (900/1800/1900), 176×220px 262K color TFT display, 1.3 MP camera, Bluetooth, music player, 60MB of internal memory and of course the microSD memory card slot.
In a nutshell – the two carriers will introduce a stylish affordable 3G-enabled music phone. We don’t know the exact that, but Christmas time seems perfect for all new launches.

Viviane Reding, European Information and Media Commissioner, stated that she plans to cap roaming surcharges to 50 Euro cents (about 66 dollar cents). A spokesman further provided a figure of 25 euro cents as a cap for incoming calls while roaming. The European Parliament will vote at the end of May.

In Devices, Linux, Telecom Italia
MontaVista Software’s leading mobile Linux distribution has recently found another partner. Italy-based OEM, Enteos, will use MontaVista’s Linux on its two smartphones – iGO730 and LinAP. Enteos expects that such, Linux-based devices which will among other things bring a WiFi connectivity, will attract business users. I guess that these two devices will soon hit the Italian mobile market through TIM, with whom Enteos already made some business in the past.
The mobile Linux is rapidly growing with many distributions being offered today. However, MontaVista’s version is the leading one, and so far has been used by such handset makers as Motorola (NYSE: MOT), Panasonic (NYSE: PC), LG and NEC.
