Contact UsFor as long as we can remember, there have been rumors circulating around the internets that Apple was going to build a low cost iPhone for cost sensitive consumers. Later we found out that Apple’s strategy to reach more users was to simply keep on selling the older models, but at a significant discount. Take the iPhone 3GS for example. When it launched in the summer of 2009 it cost $599 if you were buying it unlocked. Now it can be yours for around $380 straight from Apple’s website. But … Read more
It’s certainly been a while since we’ve seen iPhone 5 (or is that iPhone – 6th generation?) rumors creep up on the internet. Over the course of the past 24 hours, however, two credible rumors have popped up to shed light on Apple’s next smartphone. The first rumor comes from Korea IT News, who report that the next iPhone will feature LiquidMetal casing that allows for true unibody construction. According to TechCrunch, LiquidMetal casing features a mix of various metals that will give the iPhone a glassy feeling despite being … Read more
Apple stands accused of mislabeling their shiny new iPad WiFi + 4G in Australia. The consumer watchdog group Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has taken Apple to court in Melbourne, where the case is expected to be tried sometime in May. The ACCC’s argument is that Apple’s new iPad is not compatible with any of Australia’s LTE networks, and that the 4G moniker is confusing customers. For its part, Apple has put up signage in all Apple retail outlets in the country, and has contacted all individuals who have purchased an iPad … Read more
Surprise … surprise it looks like sales of the iPhone will continue to decline until the next-generation model hits the market. This estimate comes from Mike Walkley of Canaccord Genuity after he gave Apple stock a price target of $740, at a ‘Buy’ rating. The analyst believes the shrinking iPhone numbers will not disrupt future earnings, instead, he believes the tech giant will post strong results for the second fiscal quarter ended in March. “Our recent channel checks indicate modestly slowing iPhone 4S sell-through trends in developed markets,” Walkley wrote. … Read more
Yesterday we wrote about Greenpeace’s research that accused Apple’s North Carolina data center of being environmentally dirty. According to the research firm’s study, Apple is among the biggest environmental offenders when it comes to powering its data factories with coal. Well, to no ones surprise, Apple send out an official response to Greenpeace’s scathing report that raises questions about the credibility of the estimates in the research company’s study. “Our data center in North Carolina will draw about 20 megawatts at full capacity, and we are on track to supply … Read more
Walmart has a plan to revamp its stores with a fancy Apple store-within-a-store idea. This concept has appeared at a Walmart store in Arkansas, just 20 minutes from the giant merchandiser’s home office. The new look could expand to Sam’s Club as well. Design wise, the displays feature tall, double-sided, backlit graphics, a clean-looking wood table, live display products and under-table accessory storage with security glass. If you look at the picture above, you can clearly see that Walmart has sparingly given Apple products its own island separated from the rest of … Read more

Well, Apple is among the biggest environmental offenders when it comes to powering its data factories, according to a Greenpeace study on Wired. Apple has a factory in … Read more
O iPad WiFi + 4G, iPad WiFi + 4G, wherefore art thou iPad WiFi + 4G? As you might recall, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is up in arms about the name of the iPad, specifically that pesky 4G moniker. Apple’s 3rd-generation iPad does indeed have a 4G LTE chip built into the cellular-capable variants, yet it is not compatible with any 4G networks in Australia. This has led the ACCC to charge Apple with misleading Australian customers by making them think they’re buying a tablet that can … Read more
With the huge successes of the iPad 3, it’s hard to believe Apple wants to change their formula too much. Still, rumors of a 7-8″ iPad mini continue to make their way around the internets. Today’s rumor comes from NetEase, a Chinese-based net portal, which claims the iPad mini is real, and that it will launch in the fall. According to the rumor, Apple will produce a staggering 6 million units to be ready for a fall release, and that the device will retail for $249 – $299. While many aren’t … Read more
