Contact UsA device that could be the LG Optimus G 2 has been revealed through a benchmark filing today, showing benchmarks that outperform both the HTC One and iPad 4. The filing details a device with a model number of LG D801, which has a Snapdragon 800 processor and a screen resolution of 1794 x 1080 (the odd resolution is likely due to the fact that the device has on-screen navigation keys). The filing also shows that Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean will be running on the device. The filing also names … Read more
New Nexus 4 units have received a very slight tweak in their design: nubs. Not only to these small nubs allow for better grip on flat surfaces, but also raise the unit slightly for a better speaker experience when the phone is on its back. Luckily, the nubs are very small and don’t take away from the overall design in any way. I’m pretty happy to see this slight tweak, as the slickness of the Nexus 4 has prompted me to have the bumper permanently on at all times. The … Read more
T-Mobile customers holding onto a Nexus 4 are in for quite a treat. If you’re willing to work for it, that is. Yesterday, T-Mobile went live with 7 LTE markets in the US and thanks to some custom ROMs and older device radios, you too can hook your Nexus 4 to T-Mobile’s LTE network too. The Android 4.2.2 update updated the radio in the Nexus 4, squashing T-Mobile LTE dreams, but not all hope is lost. Custom ROMs are here to help you out and give the Nexus 4 the … Read more
LG is the newest to jump on the smart watch bandwagon by announcing that it will bring a device to the market sometime soon, according to the Korea Times. With a multitude of smart watches currently coming to market, LG is expected to join the ranks of Apple, Samsung and Google with its very own smart watch offering. We still are lacking details pertaining to the functionality, specs and price points for LG’s upcoming device, but features akin to the Pebble smart watch come to mind, which pairs via Bluetooth to both Android and iOS devices and offers text messages alerts, … Read more
LG and Samsung used to sue each other over display technology only to come to a peaceful solution. The next thing they want to “talk” about includes eye-tracking patents. As you probably know, the eye-tracking technology took a center stage at Galaxy S4′s announcement event, enabling such features as Smart Stay, Smart Pause and Smart Scrolling (though Smart Stay was available in Galaxy S III as well). That’s all nice, but LG says it was first to file patents that would allow for these capabilities. In fact, the company says … Read more
And we thought AT&T has completely abandoned the LG Thrill 4G. It didn’t, or at least not completely as Thrill 4G owners can now update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Not exactly the latest version of Android, but better something than nothing. And unfortunately, we’re not sure whether there will ever be Jelly Bean firmware ready for LG’s phone. You can always experiment with third-party ROMs, though. Anyway, if you have the Thrill 4G, you’ll have to download LG’s Mobile Support Tool to perform the update. It’s not an … Read more
LG has started rolling out Jelly Bean update for its Optimus L9 smartphone, which is still the best device in the company’s L-series line-up. The new software should now be available in the Baltic region, Germany, Spain, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania and for the European Open devices. As you would imagine, the 575MB-heavy download packs all of the Jelly Bean goodies such as Project Butter enhancements, improved push notifications and Google Now. In addition, there are some of LG’s own tweaks and fixes that should make for … Read more
The Nexus 4 Wireless Charger, which we also know as the Orb, is now available from Google Play Canada. The device costs $59.99 and will ship to your doorsteps in 3-5 days. The Orb comes in black, weighs 130 grams, and will charge your Nexus 4 sans any wires. It will take some 4 hours to make your battery bursting with energy though occasional “drops” to the charger will give you so much needed minutes of operational time. Check it out while it’s still in stock… [Via: MobileSyrup]

You know how Samsung occupied prime ad space on the Times Square to get us “ready 4 the next Galaxy.” Guess what, ads above those have been rented by LG (which occupied them for 20 years) and they’re using this space to promote the Optimus G smartphone. LG is doing this by reminding everyone that their phone is already up for sale saying “LG Optimus G is here 4 you now!” and “It’ll take more than 4 to equal one Optimus G”. Pretty clever when you think about it. In … Read more
LG is beating Samsung to the punch with eye recognition technology by announcing today that its new technology will be appearing soon on the Optimus G Pro. The new feature, called Smart Video, automatically plays and stops video without any manual input from the user, by tracking the user’s eye movements. The front camera can detect a user’s gaze, and stop video playback when a user looks away, and start it again when they look back. The unit will also be decked out with a function called Dual Camera, which captures photos simultaneously on the front … Read more
