Contact UsAs part of its new collection of devices, NTT DoCoMo added three Panasonic devices, two smartphones and one tablet. We already know pretty much everything about the Eluga Power, but we haven’t heard of Eluga V and Eluga Live tablet before. The first of the two is an Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone with a 4.6-inch screen, which place it somewhere between the original Eluga and Eluga Power. Rest of the specs include a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and so on. As for the Eluga Live tablet, it … Read more
Well that was faster than expected. Panasonic Eluga, the Japanese company’s first Android smartphone for the European market, is already available in the UK, with Expansys already taking orders for both black and silver models. Each model is available for 364.99 GBP, which translates into some 445 EUR or $589. That may sound kinda steep, but bear in mind this is the price of an unlocked device that doesn’t require signing contracts with mobile operators – you can use Eluga on prepaid, if you fancy so. Specs wise, Panasonic’s baby … Read more
Panasonic Eluga is now available in Germany, with two online retailers — Amazon.de and GetGoods — offering it for 419.85 and 398.90 EUR, respectively. Needless to say, that’s the price of an unlocked device that comes with no strings attached and it’s up to you to select the carrier and plan that suits you best (or use it on prepaid). Meanwhile, British arm of Expansys is taking pre-orders, asking 364.99 GBP (about 442 EUR) for Panasonic’s baby. Again, the Eluga is a super-thin device that comes with a 4.3-inch qHD … Read more
Panasonic said that its first Android smartphone for Europe, Eluga, will hit the old continent at some point in April. Unfortunately the Japanese giant failed to be more specific like which markets will get it first and how much the device will cost unlocked. Moreover, they’re still quiet about carrier partners, hinting us negotiations are still underway. Meanwhile, users in Panasonic’s own backyard will be able to purchase the sexy smartphone from March 29th, with the country leading operator NTT Docomo offering it under the name of P-04D. Of course, … Read more
We’re live at Mobile World Congress 2012 and one of the interesting trends is handset makers creating water-proof phones. Panasonic rolled out its Eluga lineup and these are thin and powerful smartphones that you won’t have to worry about if you spill on them. The Eluga Power gets most of the attention because it sports a 5-inch 720p screen, a dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm S4 processor, Android Ice Cream Sandwich and more. Unfortunately, the one we were checking out wasn’t working but a few of the pictures below should give … Read more
Samsung created the ridiculously huge smartphone category with the 5.3 inch Galaxy Note, and it looks like competitors are quick to catch up. LG has the 5 inch Vu, Viewsonic has the ViewPhone 5e, and now it’s Panasonic’s turn to announce their difficult to hold creation: the Eluga Power. It’s going to come with a 5 inch 720p HD screen, dual core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm S4 processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, NFC, an 8 megapixel camera, and it’s also going to have a “fast charge” battery that can hit … Read more
Thanks to our friends from fullgsm.gr, we have photos from the Panasonic Eluga press event to show you. Nothing too much, just to give you a glimpse of the atmosphere from the launch. And while we still wait to get our own hands on the Japanese company’s first Android smartphone for Europe, we can’t help it but praise their efforts. The Eluga may lack some things (like camera flash), but it’s still an awesome device. Can’t wait to play with it in Barcelona, and even more – can’t wait for … Read more
Panasonic is going to enter the European smartphone market this year with the Eluga. It’s sexy, has an eating disorder with its 7.8 mm thin body, and it’s even water resistant, but we want more. According to the folks at Pocket-lint, Panasonic will announce a phone that’s even higher end than the Eluga at Mobile World Congress next week. It’s said to have a larger screen than the Eluga, which already comes in at 4.3 inches diagonal, but what’s going to make it important is that it’ll feature Lumix imagining … Read more
So we heard Panasonic is preparing to enter European smartphone market, but up until this point we didn’t have a single device to show you. Enter Eluga, the Japanese company’s first Android device “made for export.” It’s a thin (7.8mm) phone with a 4.3-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) touchscreen, that’s also pretty durable — IP57-certified against water and dust. Moreover, Eluga comes with an 8-megapixel camera on the back (though without flash), 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, 8GB of built-in memory, NFC capability, as well as … Read more
