Verizon may offer $100B to buy Verizon Wireless from Vodafone
Verizon Wireless may be an American wireless carrier, but its controlling companies are split between the US and the UK. US communications company Verizon owns 55 percent of Verizon Wireless, while the remaining 45 percent is held by Vodafone. According to a report in Reuters, Verizon may offer Vodafone $100B in cash and stock options to take full control over the wireless company. Vodafone Red tariff rolling out across 14 countries
After testing it in the UK, Vodafone is rolling out its Red tariff across 14 European countries. As you may recall from our previous post, this tariff bundles unlimited calls and texts to any network in the country, while also offering a “very generous” mobile data allowance. HTC One Delays Hit U.K. According to Vodafone
The recently confirmed HTC One launch delay will have an effect on U.K. customers who have pre-ordered the device, Vodafone confirmed today. The impressive piece of hardware won’t be shipping on March 15th as was expected, but rather no later than April 3rd if all goes well. Vodafone cautions iPhone users before updating to iOS 6.1
Vodafone, the UK’s largest cellular provider, has warned iPhone 4S owners to avoid the iOS 6.1 upgrade until Apple has figured out what is causing a reduction in service on the handset.
