Contact UsSamsung is using Valentine’s Day to share some love, offering a number of apps and games for free to its bada and Android users. At the same time, the Korean company wants to promote its own app store, Samsung Apps, since that’s the place you’ll have to visit in order to take advantage of this deal. The scheme lasts till February 21st and will also see many other apps (which are not free) offered with a discount. Additionally, heavy downloaders will be able to win a $5 app voucher in … Read more
Samsung is yet again releasing “La Fleur” edition of one of its phones. This it’s the Bada-powered Wave Y which is getting a wine red battery cover adorned with flowery design. Aside from a slightly changed phone design and the new UI theme, the rest of the specs are (as it’s usually the case) unchanged. In that sense, expect the same 3.2-inch touchscreen, 2-megapixel camera, 832MHz processor, Wi-Fi connectivity support, Bluetooth, GPS and a microSD memory card slot. All this is/will be available for $166 in select markets. Sounds like … Read more
All those iOS and Android users are not enough for Taptu – they are now going for the select Bada users as well, namely folks with Samsung Wave M and Wave 3 smartphones. As far as I know this is the first time a decent social news reader is launching on Sammy’s proprietary platform and in that sense I’m pretty confident it will be a hit app among the users (who don’t have that many options after all). Samsung has entered into a strategic partnership with TomTom to offer the company’s maps and location content on the Bada-based Wave 3 smartphone. Under the deal, TomTom will provide information to support location needs of Samsung Wave 3 users, including maps for over 200 countries globally, providing over 35 million kilometers of road network, points of interest, 3D city maps, landmarks, visual orientation and more. In other words, decent navigation is finally coming to Bada. Now we don’t know what are Samsung’s future plans for its own platform and when … Read more
Rovio has released Angry Birds for Samsung Wave III with other Bada OS-based devices most likely getting the popular game as soon as the Korean company releases Bada 2.0 update (or so we think) for other Wave phones. Available as a free download, Angry Birds effectively made Wave III (or that’s Wave 3) slightly more attractive — though still not that attractive considering the same money gets you a decent Android smartphone these days. So if you’re in affected group hit the link below and start killing those pigs. Alternatively, … Read more
Not all Samsung Wave phones will get the bada 2.0 update. The two models that are not in the “lucky group” (of devices that will get the update) are Wave 525 and Wave 533, both of which are stuck on the version 1.1. However, not all is gloom and doom, with Korean giant preparing the so called “Value Pack” for these two devices. And if you don’t know what Value Pack is all about, here’s what Samsung has to say about it: Samsung is offering “Value Pack” upgrade for devices … Read more
