Win one of five Nokia Lumia 710 phones on Facebook

Nokia is organizing a simple (yet global) contest on Facebook, giving away 5 Lumia 710 Windows Phones to randomly selected users. In order to participate, all you have to do is like Nokia’s Facebook page and then answer which of the 6 color options of the Lumia 710 you like the most. There’s Fuchsia on Black, Yellow on Black, Cyan on Black, Yellow on White, Fuchsia on White and my personal favorite – Cyan on White.

The contest ends on Monday, 13 Feb 2012 16:00 EET, and in order to participate you must be at least 16 years of age or of the legal age in your country of residence.

Nothing to lose only an option to win a free phone, which you can always gift to someone you care about (if you already have a good phone that is). Here’s a link to the Lumia 710 contest and good luck!

‘Tis the season for giveaways, fa la la la la, la la la la.

That’s right folks, it’s the most wonderful time of the year right now and what better way to celebrate the holidays than by giving away some sweet, sweet tablets.

For this giveaway, we’ve teamed up with our friends at Gameloft to help celebrate the launch of The Oregon Trail: American Settler by giving away your choice of an iPad 2 or Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. This giveaway won’t be one of our traditional “leave a comment, tweet this, etc.” types of giveaways, instead, this will all be taking place via Gameloft’s Facebook giveaway app that they’ve painstakingly made just for us.

If you haven’t played The Oregon Trail: American Settler, it takes the classic Oregon Trail and twists it with a micro-managing sim similar to FarmVille. There are a bunch of challenges to complete, resources to collect, and wild animals to shoot. I’m not usually a fan of these kinds of games, but I enjoyed my time with this game, that is, until I received my new iPhone 4S and my game save mysteriously vanished. I guess I wasn’t cut out for a job in the old west.

So without further ado, here’s what you’ll need to do in order to qualify for an entry to this giveaway:

Giveaway: Win a BlackBerry Bold 9900 & one-year TeleNav Subscription

If you’re a fan of our giveaways, you’ll know that we’ve been giving away a number of Android & iOS devices in the past, so the faithful BlackBerry fans might be justified in complaining we don’t show any giveaway love to their smartphone of choice. That ends today as we’ve got not only a BlackBerry Bold 9900 for T-Mobile to give away, but a one-year TeleNav subscription as well.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 received a solid 7/10 from our own BlackBerry guru, Simon Sage. It’s got a 2.8 inch LCD screen, a 5 mega-pixel camera, and comes with a “big honkin’ keyboard in a slim package.” Sounds like something you’d want to carry in your pocket? Then let’s get down to business.

Winner of the IntoMobile & NVIDIA Galaxy Tab 8.9 prize pack pumpkin carving contest

In honor of All Hallow’s Eve, or Halloween for anyone born past the 13th Century, we decided to do something a little different with our contest. Instead of the usual “Like us, Tweet us, Comment us” formula, we decided to accept submissions based on the talents of our readers. After spending a couple of hours looking over our submissions, we’ve decided Nancy’s NVIDIA pumpkin, which took her SEVEN hours to carve, has been chosen as the winner of our giveaway.

We were blown away by the pumpkin carving submissions and this certainly was a hard decision to make with all of the great looking pumpkins that came our way. Here are some of our favorite submissions in no particular order:

This pumpkin was submitted by Gar Scott (@ethernetgeek) which received brownie points for using a green glow stick to illuminate the pumpkin.

Here’s Nicholas Lewis’s submission (@niclewis) which highlights how awesome the Shadowgun logo can look blown up and carved on a pumpkin.

This was submitted by John Carroz who decided to show the developer of Shadowngun, Madfinger Games, some love on his pumpkin.

This last one technically didn’t qualify as it didn’t follow the guidelines of our rules, but we’ll give it some love as we can’t say no to an image of the Android mascot urinating on Apple.
