Following iNES, Marat Fayzullin – author of the popular gaming system emulator apps, have also ported MasterGear to Symbian UIQ3 platform, allowing Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) and Motorola (NYSE: MOT) Z8 smartphone owners to revive the old memories while on-the-go. MasterGear for UIQ (and for S60 for that matter) will run SEGA Master System, GameGear, and SG1000 cartridge files (.sms, .sms.gz, .gg, .gg.gz, .sg, and .sg.gz extensions) placed in the “E:\Others\MG” folder.
Again, just like with the iNES, Marat was only able to test MasterGear on Motorola Z8, but according to him it should work just fine with Sony Ericsson smartphones as well… You can trial MasterGear for free or buy the full version for $14.99! Nothing beats the original Sonic…

I-play has managed to snap up the rights for the upcoming Wanted movie, featuring Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman. According to the game publishers, we could expect the great action-adventure with unique character movement and gaming physics that follows the film’s plot.

Speaking of plot, it involves a secret society of superpowered assassin and some skin-tight catsuits. Err… we’ll be there to watch… not Morgan of course.
Anyway, the film is due out next March, and the game will come out around the same time…

Symbian UIQ3 based smartphone owners, here’s some good news for you. Now you will be able to enjoy all the NES games “back from the days” and revive the memories from your childhood. Earlier, we saw other platforms (S60, iPhone, etc) getting their share of the NES action and finally the wait is over. So far, iNES has been only tested on the Motorola (NYSE: MOT) Z8 and we’re still not sure whether it will work on Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) smartphones. But even if it doesn’t work, I guess it’s safe to bet we’ll see the new version supporting UIQ’s touchscreen-based user interface in the near future.
Anyway, iNES emulates NES, Famicom, Dandy, Famicom DiskSystem, and various Nintendo and third party add-ons for iNES, and you can either trial it for free or grab the full version for only $14.99.

Like Simpsons? Yeah, you do. Well, now thanks to EA Mobile you can play with Homer and save the day. The goal of the game is to prevent a meltdown at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, while interacting with Bart, Mr. Burns, Apu and some other Springfieldians. Naturally, not all citizens of Springfield will be there to help — you’ll have to avoid such characters as Krusty the Clown and Officer Lou, even though I can’t imaging how the former can prevent anything.
Anyway, the game features “vibrant graphics”, “dynamic animations”, “amusing sound effects” and will certainly help you go throughout the day. Virtually all major carriers in the U.S. are offering the game on their portals, meaning you could start playing it withing next 5-10 minutes. More information is available on EA Mobile’s website…

For those of you looking for a decent great mobile racing game, Gamevil’s latest rally simulation, GT Drift: Untouchable, should be just the thing you were looking for. The solid 3D graphics as well as sound effects are there, helping you “drift” through 16 tracks in total. But it’s not just racing against the opponents. Yes, you can play the Championship mode and beat the hack out of other drivers, but also race in the “Time Trial” mode. Or, if you’re on a hurry, enter the Quick Race and make the time pass by quickly.
Anyway, the screenshots looks great and the game is already released in the U.S. The rest of the world should follow soon… or at least I hope so.

Following Robo about which we’ve already wrote before, Russia-based HeroCraft has released Snow Lines – an addictive puzzle game that will certainly make your time pass by faster while you’re commuting.
Arguably the “best Lines game yet,” Snow Lines features all the necessary ingredients of a solid mobile game – including attractive graphics, original levels, easy to use user interface, and the “stupendously funny music.” In addition, there are 4 game modes to choose from – to play against the clock or to set up dizzying records, achieve high scores, or try to overcome dozens of (already mentioned) original levels.
All in all, Snow Lines is a great puzzle game that will certainly keep you entertained for some time. More information is available on HeroCraft’s website.

We’ve missed this one but I want to run it nevertheless. The reason is obious I enjoy Zoo visits, even though I’ve no chance to go there (that) often.

Anyway, Last month Namco Bandai announced that it will be bringing the hit DS puzzle game Zoo Keeper to European mobile users sometime in November. The online game version has a fan base of over 10 million players — that many people registered for the game — and it will be interesting to watch just how many people will actually buy the mobile version. As far as I’m concerned — count me in Namco and yes, please keep “mobilizing” the DS titles.
Finally it’s time for the wise words of Masaji Okubo, managing director of Namco Bandai Networks Europe who said: “Zoo Keeper is perfectly suited for mobile phones, its simple-yet-addictive game-play and rich design elements will appeal to both young and old alike.” Couldn’t agree more…
