Do you like a bargain? I do – in fact I love a bargain, especially when it involves Mobile Devices! That’s why I was very chuffed to receive an email from eXpansys, telling that they are now retailing the Nokia (NYSE: NOK) N810 for £129.99!
We’ve written quite extensively on the N810 previously, particularly around the O/S – I also used the device for a time, and came away quite impressed with the form and function of it. So, to see it rocking in at what is quite a bargain price is good to see!

3UK will launch a Mobile Wi-Fi service – also known as MiFi® – in time for Christmas this year, allowing you to use Wi-Fi wherever you can access the 3 network with a small wireless modem. The wireless modem sends out a Wi-Fi signal so that you can connect a range of Wi-Fi enabled devices to the internet without the need for wires or a USB connection. No fixed-line is needed; customers simply require 3’s 3G coverage to connect.
The wireless modem – smaller than your average mobile phone at just 86 x 45 x 10 mm – allows you to create your own personal mobile Wi-Fi connection. You can connect multiple devices to the internet at the same time so while you are checking e-mails on a netbook, you can also download a track from iTunes onto your iPod touch.
Set-up is simple. No software installation is required. Simply switch on the wireless modem and connect to the Mobile Internet using a Wi-Fi signal. A Wi-Fi enabled device will automatically pick up the signal and ask for an eight-digit network key which you will be asked to input just once for every new device you want to connect.
Like other Wi-Fi style services in markets across the world, Mobile Wi-Fi from 3 is an ideal solution for both consumer and business use. It offers the UK market the most flexible and convenient way to get online since the arrival of the Mobile Broadband dongle over 2 years ago.
Marc Allera, Sales & Marketing Director at 3 UK says, “There are millions of Wi-Fi devices out there, but they can only be used in fixed locations. Consumer demand for easy and affordable internet access on the go is growing fast and we’re responding to that by announcing the UK’s first wireless modem. Using Mobile Wi-Fi from 3, consumers can connect to the internet wherever they have a 3 signal, whether at home or on the move. They can download a track onto their iPod touch, or tweet their latest updates to their mates, or both. Either way it’s simple to set-up, without the need for wires.”
Mobile Wi-Fi, also known as MiFi®, will come to 3 in time for Christmas 2009. Pricing will be announced closer to launch.

The cases provide:

eXpansys have just emailed me to tell me that they are now retailing the Sony Xperia X1 for £374.99 now, and are throwing a £20 voucher in to the mix as well!
Now with that £20 you could get a car charger or Bluetooth speakerphone – both by Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) also – or you could just stash it and spend it later when you get the gadget urge again!
Of course, the other option is that you could take a look at the HTC Hero, which is another great device – eXpansys are retailing this for £399.99, with a £30 voucher! So now you have options, and assuming you have £400 spare, that’s a nice choice to have to make!

According to 3G.co.uk, Tesco Mobile have announced a new ‘unlimited’ tariff, taking in both texts and calls.
It’s a pay-monthly contract, and rolls in at £30/month – in addition to which, it’s SIM-only, meaning you need to bring your own device to the party.
So if you are based in the UK, and just talk+text, I think this would be a pretty good deal – in the sense you would know exactly what the bill would be at the end of the month. However, if you use data or make international calls, I can see there being extra costs.
At any rate, you can check out more on Tesco Mobile here.

My fave tech-gadge retailer eXpansys has mailed me to let me know about this cracker of a deal on a very capable netbook – that also happens to feature built-in HSDPA!
The Samsung NC10 is a cutie in terms of looks, but also packs some serious processing grunt:
| Operating System |
Windows XP Home |
| Screen |
10.2-inch WSVGA |
| Weight |
1.33Kg |
| Processor |
Intel Atom Processor N270 1.6GHz |
| Main Memory |
1GB |
| Hard Drive |
160GB |
| Wi-Fi |
802.11b/g |
| Ethernet |
10/100Mbps |
Nice eh? And I think the price-point is right too – £394.99!
If you fancy some netbook-love in your life, you can check out the NC10 at eXpansys here.
