Bharti Airtel, which is formerly known as Bharti Tele-Ventures LTD (BTVL), is the largest cellular service provider in India, with more than 124 million subscribers as of February 2010. This in turn makes the company the world's third-largest, single-country mobile operator and sixth-largest integrated telecom operator. It also offers fixed line services and broadband services in top 95 cities in India. Bharti's mobile business provides services using GSM technology across 23 telecom circles. In addition to India, the company has operations in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, and is in the process of acquiring Zain's networks in Africa, excluding Morocco and Sudan.
