It was originally the trade name of one of the first mobile telephone service providers. At present the following markets operate under the Cellular One brand name: Montana, Northwestern Wyoming, Texas (TX-10) and Oklahoma (OK-5); East Central Illinois (Cellular Properties Inc.); San Luis Obispo County, California (SLO Cellular); Nacogdoches, Texas area (TX-11 Acquisition LLC); Northeastern Arizona and northwestern New Mexico (Smith Bagley); Wayne and Pike counties, Pennsylvania (South Caanan Cellular); Bermuda (Bermuda Digital Communications); and Choice Wireless, LLC - Texas and Oklahoma.
