PCD markets select handsets and wireless USB modems made by such companies as Pantech, UTStarcom, HTC, Amoi, Huawei, Sharp, Casio/Hitachi, Haier and others. It was originally founded as a division of CE supplier Audiovox, which sold it in late 2004 to UTStarcom. Then after it, UTStarcom sold the company to an investment group that includes lead investor AIG, Audiovox management and other investment companies.
