Singapore Telecommunications Limited, commonly abbreviated as SingTel, is a telecommunications company with a combined mobile subscriber base of 285 million customers from its own operations and regional associates. The company provides ISP (SingNet), IPTV (mio TV), mobile phone and fixed line telephony services. In addition to its Singapore-based operations, SingTel owns 100% of Australia's second largest mobile operator - Optus, and 32% of India's Bharti Airtel, the country's largest carrier. SingTel is the largest company by market capitalization listed on the Singapore Exchange and is majority owned by Temasek Holdings, the investment arm of the Singapore government.
