WND DUO Atom sports dual SIM cards, upside-down sensor

WND DUO Atom with dual SIM card accessWe’ve seen many a handset sporting dual SIM-card support, but none as unique as this WND DUO Atom. Having two SIM cards plugged into your handset at the same time is nice and all, but we’d imagine that switching between the two accounts can get a bit tedious, if not downright annoying. The WND DUO Atom aims to give dual-SIM-card-wielding mobile warriors access to either SIM card at the flick of the wrist – literally. Simply turn the WND DUO Atom upside-down and the built-in sensors will re-orient the handset’s display and activate the other SIM card. When you need to get back to using your other SIM, just turn the WND DUO Atom upside-down (or right-side up, depending on how you look at it) and you’re good to go with your original SIM card’s account.

With a 3 megapixel camera, 128MB of onboard storage, stereo Bluetooth, GPRS Class 10, and tri-band GSM radio, the WND DUO Atom isn’t a slacker, but it’s not exactly feature-packed either. We’d consider this thing a mid-range jobby, with the easily accessible dual-SIM card setup as its main attraction. If you’re willing to sacrifice a bit of wireless data speed and a good deal of US GSM coverage in return for convenient SIM card switching, then the WND DUO Atom is for you.
