During October, at all the events that UIQ Technology will be present at, they will offer free face-to-face on-the-spot support to developers. At these events, some of the software engineers who created UIQ 3 will be present to answer questions from developers and show them how to get started with UIQ 3 or even help them with their applications.

UIQ October LiveSupport

UIQ LiveSupport is one of the initiatives UIQ Technology has started to work closer to the developers community and support independent software developers all the way through the development process. Software engineers who are working on the UIQ 3 platform will be present at the Symbian Smartphone Show, where UIQ Technology is one of the biggest exhibitors, and at the Orange Partner Camp, where UIQ Technology is Gold Sponsor, to introduce UIQ 3 to new developers and provide support to existing developers targeting UIQ 3.

The introduction to UIQ 3 intends to be very pedagogic and at the same time practical, by showing how to install and set up a development environment, communicate the basics one needs to know when creating a new UIQ applications and demonstrate live development of small applications, and their deployment on a smartphone.

For developers who are already familiar with UIQ and have started to target UIQ 3, UIQ’s engineers will provide personalized support, answering questions and give advice on how to improve the code or design of the applications. They will also help in finding and solving software defects, so remember to bring your application(s) with you if you want it to be fixed, checked, boosted or pimped!

UIQ’s engineers will be there to help you and to listen to you, and everyone is welcome and encouraged to share their feedback about their experience with developing for UIQ, helping them to improve the platform and services.
