The NTT DoCoMo’s FOMA F703i proves that a waterproof phone can also be a stylish one. Don’t get me wrong, I like (or better said used to like) the look of Nokia 5500 Sport, but when compared to the F703i it looks awful. Then again, according to the specs, you can submerge this device for up to 1 meter for 30 mins. Haven’t tested my 5500, but I think it can be submerged for longer period of time.
The F703i sports a 2.2-inch 260k color QVGA TFT LCD, a 1.3 MP camera and a 0.1 MP inner camera for video calls. Memory can be expanded with the addition of larger microSD card, and be used to store more music (the F703i supports Napster and Chaku-Uta Full).
Finally, the Fujitsu-manufactured FOMA F703i measures 100×48×17.9 mm and weighs 109g. Similarly to the D703i, the F703i will hit the market in February this year. Available colors will include Snow White, Blossom Pink and Lamp Black.
