Remember Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition? Yea, we just barely remember it too. With Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional taking center stage these days, the Pocket PC Phone Edition seems like a historical relic. Regardless, O2 has launched a Pocket PC smartphone, with the old and dusty OS, in their XDA Argon (a rebranded HTC Panda). O2 seems to be aiming at the entry-level smartphone user, as the XDA Argon can be had for the low, low price of…FREE (with contract, naturally). You get WinMo 5.0, 3.5 inch touchscreen, GPRS, WiFi, 2 megapixel shooter and Bluetooth in a form factor reminiscent of the O2 XDA IIi (HTC Himalaya). That’s right folks, WiFi on an entry-level phone! Old and dusty OS be damned, we’re gonna change our tone and call this thing is a great bargain!
