This Chinese-made smartphone we see here alleges to be the first native handset with a full qwerty-keyboard. Why hasn’t the qwerty-keyboard been done yet on a Chinese handset? Well, first of all, there is almost no way to implement a Chinese language (with its tens of thousands of characters) in a keyboard. Secondly, how useful could a English-language, qwerty keyboard be on a Chinese handset. The character-recognizing touchscreen makes native language input possible, but should the need for English character input arise, the keyboard has your back. This smartphone rocks a huge 3.4inch QVGA display (handwriting recognition is the name of the game here), 1.3MP cam, microSD slot, Bluetooth, stereo speakers, and of course that qwerty keyboard – all in a 152g, 130x66x15.5 mm package.
We like the emphasis on innovation, as opposed to the usual rip-and-run tactics we see from Chinese manufacturers. We can even look past the awkwardly small keyboard and Windows Mobile-ish operating system to give this large-screened, thin-waisted smartphone an overall thumbs-up!
