Despite various reports indicating that mobile is where the gaming industry goes, Sony Ericsson seems to be cautious with its mobile gaming plans. According to handset maker’s president Miles Flint there are still many hurdles to be overcome for mobile gaming, particularly with regard to the multiplayer experience. But the problems don’t end there — Flirt also added that issues with screen size, battery life, functionality and available services are the problem. “There is a constant set of trade offs. We haven’t yet seen that gaming is quite there in terms of performance,” Flint added.
On the other hand, we see Nokia investing heavily in its N-Gage platform. It’s hard to say who’s right here. Personally, I would love to see Nokia bringing high-quality games on market. Then, I guess we could see Sony Ericsson following that move with even more great games… What’s your take?
