Information Week sits down with head of Nokia’s Multimedia division Anssi Vanjoki to discuss the sudden shift into the services industry, Ovi, what the context aware web will mean to consumers and how the well the reorganization is going. Not much new information here except that we find out Ovi, as it was meant to be enjoyed, will not be fully up and running until the end of 2008. In Nokia talk that could mean Mobile World Congress 2009, but I’ll bite my tongue.
After the reorganization Anssi will be head of marketing for all of Nokia. Which is absolutely amazing, he is such a bad ass. If you’ve ever stood next to the man then you know how lethal he looks and his witty remarks during Q&A sessions illustrates that he doesn’t take lip from anyone.
