Vodafone completes the acquisition of 70% in Ghana TelecomAnother market is conquered as far as Vodafone is concerned. Following their announcement that they will acquire 70% of Ghana Telecom, the Big Red carrier has announced that the deal is done.

Ghanaian Parliament cleared the papers and Vodafone agreed to pay $900 million (483 million GBP). The deal is done on a debt-free, cash-free basis.

At the end of the day, we’re hoping the entrance of Vodafone will be beneficial to the people of Ghana, who in turn may soon get to use “innovative new services” on their mobile phones.
