Telus is joining Sprint in launching the Samsung m540 QWERTY feature phone. However, instead of calling it the “Rant” as Sprint does, the Canadian carrier goes for the “Slyde” name. But it gets more confusing, as Best Buy says it’s the “TAAG.” Go figure.
Anyway, the Samsung m540 Rant/Slyde/TAAG boasts a 2.1-inch screen, full slide-out keyboard, 2 megapixel camera and a built-in GPS receiver. It is available in either black or pink starting from free on a 3-year agreement to CA$229.99 sans any contracts signed.
Best Buy on its end adds 20-30 bucks on top of Telus’ price, meaning going directly through the operator is a better way to grab the m540.
