Verdict
The Impact Series isn’t quite the powerhouse tankliness you normally expect from OtterBox, but the lighter skin is better suited for folks who like something a little slimmer than a full case, but still need more protection than your average skin. The design is on the whole very stylish and functional, but some slight misalignment around the LED can be bothersome. Personally, I felt the Defender Series offered better bang for buck, but that really depends if you’re the “go big or go home” type. It’s certainly cheaper than the Defender Series while still offering a solid level of baseline toughness. It would be worth your time to invest in a screen protector in addition to the Impact Series in order to cover all of your bases. Think the skin fits for you? Go ahead and nab one for $12.95.
