We certainly had no idea.
The iPhone and iPhone 3G’s meager allotment of 2-million pixels on its image sensor leaves a lot to be desired. In a day and age where even business-oriented smartphones are sporting high-quality 3.2-megapixel cameras, the iPhone’s 2-megapixel shooter seems woefully inadequate. But, these latest set of artsy pics shows off what the iPhone’s camera can really do – not to mention completely turning our view of the iPhone’s camera on its head!
The pictures prove that, done correctly, pics taken with an iPhone need not be blurry, out of focus or otherwise crappy. Although, we’d imagine it takes a steady hand to get your iPhone to take pictures like the images you see here.
Photocritic has a full, 100 picture-strong photo gallery filled with artsy photos taken with the iPhone or iPhone 3G’s 2-megapixel camera. For now, enjoy this limited sampling.
