BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 has been a long time coming, and following the occasional leak, the feature set has been nailed down in documentation. The web-based user interface is easily the biggest change in the new version of BES, but remote file access will be a boon to enterprise customers, and e-mail flags are a nice added touch. Currently, admins are toying around with beta builds of the server software, but considering RIM was ballparking a Q2 release, BES 5.0 should be here any day now. There are video tutorials that walk you through some fifty-odd tasks you might want to perform through the browser interface. There’s a lot more that’s new, so go ahead and check out the full docs for BES 5.0 on Exchange.
