Remember Pantech’s TruEmotion user interface? Well, it’s live now with the first phone called Sky IM-R470S, which is available in South Korea via SK Telecom.
From what we can tell, the new device is a true multimedia monster, sporting just a few buttons and a huge 3.2-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) touchscreen, which has a 160 degree viewing angle. Rest of the specs include mobile TV (DMB) receiver, GPS, Bluetooth, accelerometer, proximity sensor, 3 megapixel camera, 4GB of internal memory, and a media player that can handle an array of video files such as H.264, MPEG4, DivX and XviD.
In a nutshell, it’s quite capable device that you probably won’t see outside of Korea for the time being. Hopefully, Pantech is negotiating with some carriers in Europe and U.S. as we speak to export this baby. Keeping our fingers crossed can’t harm, that’s sure. 😉
