UK: Update: Samsung Galaxy i7500 on O2 – delayed

samsung-i7500Only last week, it looked like we were going to get the Samsung Galaxy i7500 arriving in O2 shops in the UK – well, that hasn’t happened, and Mobile Magazine has picked up reports from O2 staff that the device has failed testing.

This is a small setback for O2, since it’s their first Android handset, and I’m sure they want to get it out before the Palm Pre arrives, sometime in October.

Once these two handsets are out, O2 will be bridging WinMo, iPhone, RIM, Android, and Palm operating systems across their range of devices – impressive five-way split!
