It seems you can run other things, not just the dialer and photo browser, in the portrait mode on the Nokia N900. According to Guyver at the maemo.org forums, there’s a glitch in the OS that allows for this, and we’re hoping it will be included with the next firmware update. The idea to use two hands for everything isn’t appealing, and I’m sure Nokia’s listening. C’mon folks, release the damn firmware update and make this a part of the system. Please. 😉
