Having been in the works for a little while now, a new Nintendo 64 emulator has finally been released on Cydia. You can find it for $2.49 in the ZodTTD repository. The new emulator should work just find on the iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G, using Open GLES 2.0 libraries.
The emulator has a few options when it comes to gaming controls. First, you can of course use the on screen buttons and accelerometer for solid game control… If that’s not your thing, you can also connect a Nintendo WiiMote control from your Wii via Bluetooth for more comfortable, tactile button pressing action. Cool!
When it comes to the ROMs, the new emulator supports .n64 and .z64 files, and can also read .zip and .7z archives.
The n64iPhone emulator is compatible with the jailbroken iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G. For a preview be sure to hit play on the video above for a look at Mario Kart 64, Super Mario 64 and Zelda: The Ocarina of Time. Happy retro gaming!
