
TUAW is reporting that iPhone users on the O2 network in the UK have been suffering with data issues in the last few days. That is rather to say that they haven’t been getting any data!
Users of the iPhone will probably be familiar with a message that comes up occasionally, saying ‘could not activate cellular network’ – well that’s been the case for more than 24hrs for some people, and apparently they are not happy about it!
We are told O2 have identified the problem and are working on a fix to it – I’m not sure ‘IP address allocation’ issues quite cover the extent of the problem, but we have to take O2 at their word, and hope that things are resolved before the explosion of devices on to the network after Christmas day (because you know some of those presents are iPhones…)!
